We had a fabulous trip to Hobart and the Mantra was comfortable, clean, central and the staff were A+. The beds were great, the wifi is good and the room we had was spacious. We had a corner apartment for 2 adults and 3 kids over 10 and were comfortable.

Firstly, I was charged $483 in advance of my stay and then another $340 - for 2 nights on check in . The day before my stay, A person from Mantra called me, asking why I was at the hotel - I told her, the dates on her end were wrong. I read out my confirmed dates. She said I would have to sort it out with booking.com - I told her no, I have the email confirmation, I do not have a contact point, that BC would want to fix the issue with mantra and that I’m sure she had a contact point she could utilise. I emailed mantra Collins with the details as requested but was still charged an extra $483 regardless. What else…well; . The floor is simply indescribable - large concrete balls under the carpet - see the photos. I’ve never ever seen anywhere, you could trip over on the carpet in a hotel room, if you had crutches took kids or the elderly were tgere, you would fall over…along with that, a down light was hanging out of roof, toilet seat broken and now offset to right, walls / cupboards dirty (see photos) and…frustratingly, there were no welcome books. So I couldn’t watch Austar etc. I asked both in person at reception and via email - how do I use the Austar service, as it was far from clear..the desk person said he’d be up in a few minutes, but he did not turn up, and I never received an answer to any emails I sent (over charge nor Austar).

Stayed 4 nights for a work trip. Staff were fantastic, Helped me change rooms with no fuss when I realized I had booked the wrong type of room.

I contacted the hotel before my stay to inquire about parking options, but unfortunately, I didn't receive a response. However, upon arrival, the front office staff was helpful. They advised me on parking and even offered to pick up my luggage from the car park. The hotel's location was convenient, but the room could have been cleaner. I noticed dust, particularly on the nightstands beside the bed and even on the alarm clock. Since I understood that housekeeping services weren't available after 2pm, I decided not to mention this to the front office.
